The Internet

The Internet is a vast network system that uses the "TCP/IP Communication Protocol" to connect networks to each other. Users can connect to the Internet through devices such as mobile phones and computers, commonly known as "Internet access".

With the implementation of mobile phone connectivity to the Internet, users can access the massive resources of the online world at all times, and use various Internet services in their daily lives, such as e-mail, online games, social networking platforms, streaming media, downloading applications, sending files, and mobile payment, etc. With the diversified development of Internet services, different crises and threats have emerged. Phishing, ransomware, malware, social scams, and other methods can be used to steal users' data and even to commit blackmail or fraud. It is, therefore, important to be aware of cyber security when using the Internet to prevent yourself from being compromised.


Mobile Applications and Operating System

Mobile applications, often referred to simply as apps, are applications designed to run on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. They are installed on mobile devices to enhance the operating system and personalize the mobile device to meet the needs of different users. Like computer software, mobile applications need to run in the appropriate operating system. The App Store, which is a platform for users to download a variety of free or paid applications to their mobile devices and, make the way for users to operate smartphones simple and convenient.

The early smartphones were designed primarily for business people, there are not many correspondent applications for use. With the addition of multimedia players, digital cameras and video recorders, global positioning (GPS) navigation, sensors, lighting, and other features, the smartphone market has expanded and mobile phone manufacturers invested in the development of specialized operating systems for mobile phones, making them more and more versatile. Today's smartphones have replaced many different types of electronic devices and can even replace personal computers, making it personal mobile communication devices with a wide range of features.

Communication Software

Internet services have increased interpersonal networking and accelerated the development of real-time communication software. The increasing bandwidth of the Internet has enabled communication software to move from the early days of text messaging to the present day where it can send photos, audio and video clips and even make real-time video calls, thus facilitating real-time interaction between people, while traditional communication methods such as voice calls and text messaging are being used less frequently.
