Stamp Activities > Stamp Design Competition
The earliest pictures on Stamps were portraits of leaders of state. Later, Postal Administrations realized that scenes of the countryside or interesting designs were more attractive to collectors, and also greatly increased the appeal of Stamps. Quite often Postal Administrations will organize Stamp Design Competitions for some Commemorative Events.
The Museum will hold a monthly Stamp Design Competition on a chosen topic. You are free to draw any image you like, and you may design a single Stamp or a Set of Stamps on the chosen topic.
Please note that the following important information must be present in the design: Issue Name, Stamp Name, Issue Postal Administration, Face Value. You may also add your name to it. The finished designs can be placed in the Collection Box for the participation of the Competition of the Month. Three best designs will be chosen at the beginning of the following month, and their designers rewarded. The Designs are posted up in the Stamp Activity Gallery and the results announced on the this Website.
