Communications Museum - Electronic Device Construction Competition, 2025

REGULATIONS

1. Theme: Step by Step

Design and produce a device that can be programmed to complete tasks automatically along the track and reach the destination, allowing participants to demonstrate their understanding and application of science and programming at the competition.

2. Qualifications:

All full-time secondary students of Macao can sign up for participation, individually or in groups (maximum 3 students per team). Each individual or team can submit only ONE "device".

Junior Secondary Group - Form 1 to Form 3 students; Senior Secondary Group - Form 4 to Form 6 students.

3. Prizes:

Both Junior Secondary Group & Senior Secondary Group will be awarded:

1st Prize: Trophy, certificate & MOP3000 gift voucher;

2nd Prize: Trophy, certificate & MOP2500 gift voucher;

3rd Prize: Trophy, certificate & MOP2000 gift voucher;

10 Appreciation Awards without classification of categories: Trophy, certificate & MOP1000 gift voucher.

4. Briefing session:

The video file will be available on the museum's website from 25/10/2024 (Friday).

5. Registration & Deadline:

Online registration at www.cmm.gov.mo, from now till 22:00:00 on 29/11/2024 (Friday), as per the time displayed on the museum's computer system.

6. Competition:

Will take place at the Communications Museum.

  • Drawing Day: The draw will be held according to the number of teams registered and announced at the museum's website at 13/12/2024 (Friday);
  • Competition Day: Junior Division on 11/01/2025 (Saturday); Senior Division on 18/01/2025 (Saturday).
7. Judges:

The organizer will invite professionals to be the jury. The result is subject to the final decision of the jury.

8. Supplementary Rules:

The Supplementary Rules are also part of this "Regulations" document. The organizer reserves the right to interpret, explain or decide on any other issues not covered in the Regulations.

9. Declaration:
  • When extraordinary and urgent situations occur as a result of cases of force majeure, the organizer reserves the rights to suspend or terminate the Competition;
  • Personal data, photos or video images collected in the registration form and competition will be used for the arrangement of activity and handled according to the "Statement of Personal Data Collection" of Macao Post & Telecommunications Bureau;
  • Outstanding entries will be exhibited in the Communications Museum. The organizer reserves the rights to film, publish, translate, display and promote the entries without prior permission of the participants or remuneration;
  • Participants can pick up their works within one month after the Awards Ceremony of the Activity.
