Fun-filled Winter Camp

During the festive holidays, Communications Museum has organized the Winter Camp - Christmas Science Tour on 27 and 28 December 2009. A total of 18 teachers and students of Primary Five and Six from Pui Ching Middle School and Sheng Kung Hui Choi Kou School participated. The content of the activity is mainly about the development of communications science and technology. The objective is to create an opportunity for the students to learn and experience different culture and interactive activities through the visit to other museums.

The first day of the Winter Camp took place in the Communications Museum. The participants were all excited when they joined the tailor-made games and thematic guide provided by the facilitators. After lunch at the Museum, they all joined the science demonstrations and workshops. On the following day, all participants went to Hong Kong together to visit the Hong Kong Science Museum. They joined the guided tour and science demonstrations about telecommunications and science provided by the docents. During the visit, the participants not only have deepened their knowledge about general science and experienced different interactive games, but also toured around other special thematic exhibitions and bought their favorite souvenir items. They have taken lots of photos during the trip. In the end, they all departed in joy and laughter, bringing back home with new friendship!

Thanks to the support and assistance from the schools and Hong Kong Science Museum which have made this activity a great success. The Communications Museum will continue to explore and experiment new activities. The organization of the Summer Camp for 2010 is underway! Stay tuned!
