To celebrate her 3rd Anniversary, Communications Museum will be open to the public free of charge on the 1st March 2009 and the Museum Shop will also provide a Commemorative Cancellation Service from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the public. An awards ceremony will be held at the afternoon, in the Museum Auditorium to present prizes to the winners of Electronic Device Construction Competition "Electromagnetic Crane" and Annual Selection of Stamp Design Competition. All works of said competitions will be displayed in the Temporary Exhibition Gallery of the Museum, from 1st of March to 19th of April.
For celebration of the anniversary of Communications Museum, the exhibition items "How Macao Stamps Are Made" and "Philatelic Treasure" have been renewed. Visitors of 18 years old or below are welcomed to join the special activity "Happy Birthday, Happy Lucky Day" during their visit to the Museum, from 1st to 8th March 2009, to win a souvenir or a second chance to experiment our well accepted interactive games when they finish the assigned mission.
Among all the 1st winners of Stamp Design Competition held each month in 2008, three best designs are selected as follows:
The Museum has received 75 entries from 17 schools of Macao. The Organizer, Communications Museum and the Co-organizer, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers would like to deliver their heartfelt thanks to the schools, supervising teachers and parents of participants for the support of the Competition. The Judging Committee appreciate very much the submitted entries that remark the working and creating capability of students and, expect more students to participate in the future competition in order to develop their interest and passion to science.
