Morse Code is an early form of digital communication and all the Characters are encoded as Dots or Dashes. It uses five timing elements: Dot (·), Dash (–), Short Gap (between each Character), Medium Gap (between Words) and Long Gap (between Sentences). Table 1 shows the Morse Code Table.

Of course, Morse Code is also a binary code, because it is based on only two states: ON and OFF.
