Signing of Cooperation Agreement between Communications Museum of Macao Post, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers of Macau (IEEE Macau) and Macau Society of Biomedical Engineering (MSBME)

Since its opening in 2006, Communications Museum has been actively promoting comprehensive popular science activities to Macao residents and students in order to increase their interests and enthusiasm in science. Different types of workshops, science seminars and demonstrations, as well as electronic device competition and science camps, etc. have been organized to encourage participants to learn and discover science from hands-on experience while at the same time having fun.

To enhance collaboration in this field and widely promote popular science activities, Communications Museum of Macao Post, IEEE Macau and MSBME are going to sign a cooperation agreement. Through this cooperation, all parties will make use of their strengths to lead students and residents to learn more about communication as well as the development and prospects of the electrical and electronics field. In this way, it is hoped that the general public will broaden their vision of science and technology development, and share the same belief on science and technology's influence on the growth and development of the society.

The signing ceremony will be held at the auditorium of Macao Post in the afternoon of October 6, 2011. The cooperation agreement will be signed by Ms. Lau Wai Meng, CEO of Macao Post and Prof. Vai Mang I, President of IEEE Macau and MSBME. Through this agreement, more activities will be jointly organized towards the promotion and exchange regarding the development and application of science and technology.

The science camp "Science Express Camp - A Kickoff of Biomedical Engineering" was launched in August by MSBME, IEEE Macau, Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of University of Macau and Communications Museum. The series of science seminars "IEEE Talks" organized by IEEE Macau will start on October.
