The Greenscreen Studio uses a Compositing technique called Chroma Key. Compositing is the creation of Images or Movies by combining part of the Images or Movies from different Sources. It is used extensively in News, Weather Report and in modern movie making to achieve effects that otherwise would be impossible or not cost efficient.

The Chroma Key is the Compositing technique that replaces the Pixels (combination of picture [pix] + elements) of the predefined single-color (or colors within small Range) in an Image with the corresponding Pixels in a different Image, while keeping the Pixels that do not contain the predefined color unchanged.

The Green or Blue color is commonly chosen as the Background since the color tone of human skin has little Green or Blue color components. In general, Green is more favored than Blue as the Background Color because it is not found as frequently on clothing.
