Introduction to Circuit and Soldering

Introduction to Circuit and Soldering

Learning basic knowledge of electronic circuits and soldering technique in order to construct simple circuits with electronic components.

Contents:

  • Knowing the circuits and electronic components (switches, resistors, capacitors, etc.) and how to use the circuit board.
  • Testing the circuit, components and voltage with multi-meter; resistors and capacitors connected in series and parallel circuit; Ohm's law.
  • Introduction to diodes, transistors and soldering techniques.
  • Soldering training.

Construction of Electronic Piano with IC 555

Construction of Electronic Piano with IC 555

This is advanced course of electronic circuit to learn function of hybrid circuits and its application in depth, and to construct the electric piano circuit with IC 555.

Contents:

  • Fundamentals of IC 555 and frequency of music.
  • Principles of electronic piano circuit with IC 555.
  • Construction of electronic piano circuit with IC 555.
  • Construction of electronic piano circuit with IC 555.

Production of Wind Power Generator

Production of Wind Power Generator

This is the topic of the 2008 Electronic Device Construction Competition. The generator is made by application of the Faraday's Law, the Law of Conservation of Energy, and the theories of electrical generators. Finally, we can use LEDs to test the operational efficiency of the finished generator.

Contents:

  • Principles and structure of the wind power generator.
  • Construction of the main body (coils) and axis of the generator
  • Assembly of the body of the wind power generator
  • Integration and testing

Photosensitive Mechanical Beetle

Photosensitive Mechanical Beetle

Construction of a photosensitive mechanical beetle which follows light to guide its way, by using LEDs, photodiodes, NPN type transistors, DC motor and their application as a whole. Participants finish the course "Introduction to Circuit and Soldering" is preferable.

Contents:

  • Review of electronic components and soldering technique.
  • Introduction to LED, photodiode, NPN transistor and DC motor.
  • Building a photosensitive mechanical beetle.
  • Building a photosensitive mechanical beetle.
