COMMUNICATIONS MUSEUM

Organized by the Macao Society of Biomedical Engineering and Communications Museum, the Science and Art Activity for Primary Students is of the theme "Component Revamp". Participants will use different electronic components and simple tools to create a 2 or 3-dimensional object. This year there will be Family & Friends Group and School Group for participants of different levels to join. The activity will be held on December 5. Winners of the each category will be awarded attractive prizes.

In order to encourage local secondary school students to employ their theoretical scientific knowledge on practical experiments, Communications Museum and the IEEE Macao will organize the Electronic Device Construction Competition 2016. This year the theme is "Drive and Clear". Full-time students of local secondary schools can compete in groups. The competition is divided into two categories: Junior Secondary Group and Senior Secondary Group. The final eight teams of each category will be awarded trophies, winning certificates, book coupons and attractive prizes. Two explanatory sessions will be held in the Museum Auditorium in the afternoon on November 7. Reservations can be made by phone or email.

Taking the opportunity of celebrating the World Post Day, Macao Post is much honoured to participate in realising the dream of Mr. Choi to publish the first 4 of a total of 8 volumes of his book "The Choi Cheong-Too, The Postage Stamps and Postal History of Macao", including "Pre-Adhesive Postal History of Macau 1616-1864", "The Crown Issues and Surcharges of Macau 1884", "D. Luís I Issues and Surcharges of Macau 1888" and "D. Carlos I Issues Overprints and Surcharges of Macau 1894-1919". The launch ceremony will be held on October 9 at the Communications Museum and each volume of book will be sold at MOP200.00.

A total of 89 works from full-time primary and secondary students of Macao have been received for the Creative Savings Box Construction Contest of Postal Savings, organized by Postal Savings and Communications Museum. Each participant constructed and submitted their unique 3 dimensional savings box under the theme "Penny and penny laid up will be many". An exhibition of winning works will be on the First Floor of the Museum, during the period from 09/10/2015 to 10/01/2016. The winners are as follows:

"25 Years of the AICEP" Special Exhibition is a travelling exhibition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of AICEP. Being one of the members in Macao, Macao Post will present the exhibition from October 9 to 31, in the Multi-function Room of Communications Museum. Constituted in 1990, the AICEP is a non-governmental, non-profit international, scientific and technical association. AICEP is a space of convergence of the partners of the Communications sector, the only association worldwide which combines Postal Mail, Telecommunications, Contents and Regulators and its mission is to promote and support the sustainable development of Portuguese-speaking Communications.
