Mailbox Painting Workshop

In order to promote philately, science and telecommunications technology, Communications Museum is organizing various activities to encourage the public and tourists to visit the Museum and discover the enjoyment in life. From August till the end of 2012, the Museum will hold a series of "Stamp Festival, 2012" activities, including workshops, voting game, stamp exhibitions and lots of hands-on activities. All are welcome to join. The first activity is the Mailbox Painting Workshop to send your "Love and Blessings".

From past to present, the mailbox can be found at our doorstep, waiting for messages from afar. By using the old-style mailbox, we hope to arouse the participants? creativity to design and paint the mailbox that is full of important messages and precious memories under the theme "Love and Blessings".

Families or friends (maximum 4 persons per group) are welcomed to join the Mailbox Painting Workshop. The Museum will provide one mailbox and the necessary painting tools to each participating group for painting the mailbox at the Museum. The finished works will be kept and exhibited at the Museum until end of the year. All participants will be given free entrance coupons. The participants of the three best works will be invited to join "A Tour at Hong Kong Museums" on 11 November 2012, with sponsored ferry tickets, transportation, lunch and insurance. They will visit the "The Majesty of All Under Heaven: The Eternal Realm of China's First Emperor" exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of History and Hong Kong Science Museum.
