New Special Activities - "I Love Giant Panda"!

Welcome Kai Kai and Xin Xin to Macao!

Starting 5th January 2011, Communications Museum will launch a series of "I Love Giant Panda" special activities including guided visits, workshops and science demonstrations that are about the theme of giant panda. Family visitors, general pubic and student groups booked by schools are all welcomed. Our new mascots, LED representing Telecommunications and STAMMY representing Postal/Philately, who are also panda facilitators will be very happy to meet you all.

Don't forget to bring your camera and take pictures with our giant panda dolls at the "Make a Pose - Giant Panda and I" background in the Temporary Exhibition Gallery. Here you can also appreciate panda stamps from other countries and learn "How Giant Panda Stamps are Made".

At the Postal/Philately Gallery on the first floor, you can also choose among the lovely panda images when taking "Personal Picture Postcard" or playing "Design Your Own Stamp". On the print-out of the postcard, there is a code which you can use to download your photo and the postcard from our website and then send it out by email. At the Telecommunications Gallery on the second floor, you can change your look together with giant panda by choosing from the colored, nostalgic or black-and-white printing effects that are newly added to the "Greenscreen Studio". And you can collect all the "Panda Chops" in different areas of the Museum.

Furthermore, you can join our "Bags Fun" workshops. For family visitors, the parents can make "Giant Panda Stamp Frame" together with their children. Children under 6 years old can also do coloring for our panda facilitators' uniform in our "Colorful Giant Panda" workshop.

We also have a series of activities for student groups booked by schools. Our thematic guided visit "Stamps of Macao - Giant Panda" is suitable for students from Kindergarten to Primary 3. They will learn about the elements of a stamp of Macao. Science demonstration "Flying LED", which is suitable for students from Primary 4 to 6, will talk about the science theory of maglev objects. In addition, there are three "Bags Fun" workshops for students. "Giant Panda Carnival" is suitable for students from Kindergarten to Primary 1 students. They will be given materials to make Giant Panda fans, bookmarks or masks. "Handmade Gifts" are suitable for students from Primary 4 to 6. They will create their own Giant Panda greeting cards. "Design Your Own Bag" is suitable for students from Primary 1 to 6. They can make use of their creativity to design bags or create a new look for Kai Kai and Xin Xin.

Have fun with the "I Love Giant Panda" special activities. Don't miss them and special souvenirs!
