New Issue of Booking Service Guide for Visits

Booking Service Guide for Visits

To cope with the booking of tours and tailor-made activities for schools, organizations and tour groups, Communications Museum has published a new issue of "Booking Service Guide for Visits" in September. The new facilities leasing service is also included.

There are a total of 24 items for thematic guided visits of the postal/philately and the telecommunications areas. Visitors can choose "Easy Self-Service Visit" or "General Guided Visit", as well as "Guided Visit for Seniors" which is tailor-made for the elderly and "Special Guided Visit" for disabled people. Furthermore, student groups can choose among thematic items, science demonstrations focused on electricity, optical fibers and laser, as well as stamp forums such as "Collection of Global Stamps", "Thematic Stamps", "Covers, Postcards & Marks" and "How Macao Stamps Are Made", etc.

Communications Museum has been advocating learning through playing in order to fulfill our mission of promoting philately and science. Regarding the Postal/Philately Area, the new workshops include "Message on the Stone", "Spoken Language and Written Words", "Social Expert" and "Color and Printing of Stamps" that are focused on communication, language, evolution of written language and printing. For the Telecommunications Area, apart from the ten popular interactive workshops, we have added "Secret of Magnet", "Amazing Static Electricity" and "Labyrinth of Electric Circuits" that are suitable for primary students.

"Visit for Teachers", "Stamp Collection/Telecom Club" and "Museum without Boundary" are still our important services. The Museum would like to invite educators and coordinators of extracurricular activities to visit the Museum and impart their opinions on the museum services and guided visit contents, as well as to help to arrange for students visits. And, the Museum can also organize tailor-made activities for schools, like philatelic or telecommunications activities and workshops as well as assign representatives to go to the school and organize game booths, stamps / telecom workshops and scientific demonstration at the school open day or special celebrations. For more detailed information about the items above, please visit the museum's website and the group "Communications Museum" in the Facebook.
