Communications Museum of Macao, 2007 - Electronic Device Construction Competition

The Competition, organized by the Communications Museum of Macao and co-organized by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Macau, will be evaluated by the following members of the Judge Committee: Dr. Wong Man Chung of the University of Macau, Dr. Cheang Tak Son of the Macau Institution of Engineers, Dr. Wong Hong Cheng of the Macau University of Science and Technology, Dr. Vai Man I of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Macau and one representative of the Museum. The theme for the junior group is "Make a Morse Code Telegraph" and the theme for the senior group is "Make a Permanent Magnet Speaker".

As there were many participants for this competition, the evaluation was conducted immediately after the deadline of February 23. After two rounds of evaluation, three prizes and excellent works of each group will be awarded on March 1, 2007, the Anniversary Day of the Communications Museum of Macao, and the best works will be exhibited in the Temporary Gallery of the Museum.

Annual prizes for "Stamp Design Competition"

"Stamp Design Competition" is a monthly thematic competition. Its objective is to encourage children to design and draw a Macao stamp according to monthly theme during their visits, and three prizes will be awarded to the best three works on each month. During the period from 2006 to January 2007, the Museum has received a total of 347 designs for the competition.

For the annual prizes of "Stamp Design Competition", the best three selected from those first-prizes of past months will be awarded on March 1, 2007, the Anniversary Day of the Communications Museum of Macao, and the designs will be exhibited in the Temporary Gallery of the Museum.

This competition will continue in the Museum during the year, children under 12 years old are welcome to participate in designing stamps. Monthly themes for the period of February 2007 and January 2008 will be: "Lunar Year of the Pig", "First Anniversary of Communications Museum of Macao", "Happy Easter", "Dragon Boat Festival", "International Children's Day", "Cachet for Communications Museum of Macao", "My Ideal Profession", "Mid Autumn Festival", "Chinese National Day", "Long Live Music!", "Christmas" and "My Family".

Best Monthly Photographs

Starting from March, the Museum will accept visitors to send electronic photographs related to their visit of Communications Museum of Macao through the email address info@macao.communications.museum. Photographs that pass the pre-selection will be uploaded to the Photo Gallery of the Museum Web page. The best monthly photographs will win a prize and also will enter the annual competition automatically. For details of the competition regulation, please refer to the attachment.
