Receptacles for Mail Collection are postal facilities installed in the streets for the citizens and tourists to drop in their correspondence. Different kinds of receptacles, including Pillar Boxes fixed to the ground and Letter Boxes hung on poles or walls, vary in shape, size and material from country to country.

Red is the predominant colour for receptacles in Commonwealth countries, whereas yellow is the preferred colour in Western Europe, light blue in Eastern Europe, and green in Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR, and red in Macao SAR.
